Accurate assessment of a child with acute illness or injury requires special knowledge and skills. This course, taught by qualified emergency nurses, is designed to provide the core-level pediatric knowledge and psychomotor skills needed to properly assess and implement evidence-based interventions to improve outcomes for this high-risk patient population.

Prerequisites
Participants must be an RN and possess a current unrestricted nursing license to receive verification
LPNs and paramedics are eligible to attend all portions of the course except for the written and psychomotor evaluations. For this reason, they do not receive verification, but are awarded contact hours

RESCHEDULE:

Please provide written notice of the need to reschedule no less than 24hrs prior to class start time.

Your new course date must be rescheduled within 90 days of the original class date.{consideration will be given to extreme emergencies at the descretion of ET2} 

CANCELLATIONS: Please provide written notice at least ten (10) business days prior to your class to allow us to fill your spot. If you are unable to provide at least ten (10) business days written notice to cancel your seat in class, a charge of 50% of the course fee and a $25 refund fee will be assessed at the time of cancellation.

  • Cancellation or no-show on the day of class will result in forfeiture of entire course fee. 
  • You will be required to pay the full course fee for a new class date.

The CHALLENGE Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) includes 30-45min. session with instructor (1:1) PNP virtual skills checkoff and online exam access from home. Included is an opportunity for Q&A .  (no teaching or precourse required)

NOTE: If you choose the challenge course type and are not a previous TNCC/ENPC card holder and are unable to complete your exam with 80% or better with the two attempts provided, Elite Trauma and Emergency Training (if you choose to continue using ET2) will require you to re-enroll in the two-day full course (TNCC/ENPC) or the 4.5 hour Fast Track course (TNCC only) for further exam access. at the full course rate.
 
 
This course is presented in a virtual platform using ZOOM. Computers are the best to use in order to easily view all the powerpoint presentations, however you may use an ipad/notebook or even your smartphone. All classes are scheduled in a CST (central time zone) Classes may be scheduled during the day or some evenings.You will call to make this private schedule. Have three to four dates with times of your availability. Our course specialist will confirm with the instructor which of the requested dates works best for her schedule. Once a schedule is agreed upon your class enrollment will be created and a link sent to be used in enrolling.

The Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) is a 2 day (6.5hr day) course developed by the Emergency Nurses Association to present a firm foundation in trauma nursing and to provide nurses with core or basic trauma cognitive knowledge and psychomotor skills that are associated with the delivery of professional nursing care to the trauma patient.

The goal of TNCC is to improve trauma patient outcomes by providing nurses with foundational trauma knowledge, skills, and a systematic Trauma Nursing Process to guide trauma patient care.

Verification of successful course completion is based on passing the written exam and the Trauma Nursing Process (TNP) psychomotor skills station. Verification is valid for four years.

This 9th edition TNCC provider FULL COURSE course has been approved for 19.5 contact hours.

access to review them.

COURSE FORMAT
> All courses will be 100% from your home through your computer via ZOOM. This format is
the same as if you were in the classroom.

>In-class activities have been adapted to a computer format to maintain optimal interaction and
the TNP/PNP skills table is presented in a computer document with all the same equipment
available; arranged in A-J order.

>Students are emailed additional class activity study guides from ET2. Have your study guide
printed for class. There are Critical Thinking questions throughout the the study guide,
please look over them and try to answer as many as possible. (Use your manual and other
resources)

FINAL EXAM
Final exam is an open book; You will have seven days at the completion of the course to take
the final exam online. You will receive an email from ENA with the link. Successful completion of
the online examination with a minimum score of 80% (2 attempts)

MANUALS (Mandatory by ENA)
The Printed or E-Book ENPC 6th Edition manuals are mandatory per
ENA and are available for purchase at the time of enrollment. (Bk prices are listed on the
enrollment site and are non-refundable)

The course is developed by the Emergency Nurses Association to present a firm foundation in trauma nursing and to provide nurses with core or basic trauma cognitive knowledge and psychomotor skills that are associated with the delivery of professional nursing care to the trauma patient.

The goal of TNCC is to improve trauma patient outcomes by providing nurses with foundational trauma knowledge, skills, and a systematic Trauma Nursing Process to guide trauma patient care.

Verification of successful course completion is based on passing the written exam and the Trauma Nursing Process (TNP) psychomotor skills station. Verification is valid for four years.

This 8th edition TNCC provider CHALLENGE course has been approved for 9.0 contact hours.

 

Pre-requisites

Participants must be an RN and possess a current unrestricted nursing license to receive verification. 

*Pre-registration is required - Participant seats are limited based on instructor-to-student ratios. Seats will be assigned to paid registrants in the order registration fees and materials are received.

TextbookTRAUMA NURSING CORE COURSE (TNCC) Provider Manual, 9th Edition (current edition) is required for the exam; printed and e-book versions are available through your course director.

Look for an email from ENA containing your link to precourse modules.

To complete your course registration you must follow the link you will receive from ENA. Open the link in GOOGLE CHROME only. DO NOT use your phone, it should be done on computer.  This link is non-transferable and only applies to your enrollment. This link will provide you access to the required pre-course modules that must be completed for the start of class.  (you do not have to purchase anything!)

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policies

We understand that situations beyond your control may arise, requiring you to cancel or reschedule your class.

RESCHEDULE:

Please provide written notice of the need to reschedule no less than 24hrs prior to class start time. Your new course date must be rescheduled within 90 days of the original class date.{consideration will be given to extreme emergencies at the descretion of ET2}

CANCELLATIONS: Please provide written notice at least ten (10) business days prior to your class to allow us to fill your spot. If you are unable to provide at least ten (10) business days written notice to cancel your seat in class, a charge of 50% of the course fee and a $25 refund fee will be assessed at the time of cancellation.

  • Cancellation or no-show on the day of class will result in forfeiture of entire course fee. 
  • You will be required to pay the full course fee for a new class date.
